TROY B. MORRIS
Troy helped form the firm in
July of 1999. Prior to that he was a partner in the
litigation and construction groups at a 90 lawyer Columbus
firm.
His main practice is commercial and construction litigation,
including large loss property recoveries, where he has
achieved successful jury verdicts and arbitration/mediation
results – including many in excess of a million dollars. He
regularly counsels a national retailer on store construction
issues ranging from contract preparation to the defense of
contractor claims in federal, state and bankruptcy courts
throughout the country. In addition, he has served as a
faculty member for the National Business Institute
(Mechanics’ Lien Law and Strategies in Ohio), the Institute
for Paralegal Education (Effective Discovery Strategies for
the Litigation Paralegal in Ohio), and the Centerbuild
Conference in Phoenix, Arizona (High Volume Contract
Management).
Troy is a member of the American, Ohio and Columbus Bar
Associations, the Ohio Bar Admission’s Committee, and past
member of the Construction Owners Association of America and
Builder's Exchange of Central Ohio. He is licensed to
practice in the Southern District of Ohio and the Central
District of Illinois.
Troy received his B.S. degree, magna cum laude, from Kent
State University and his J.D. from the University of
Cincinnati.
Troy and his wife Debbie have five children.
